sign up

Your journey for a successful NCMC starts here! Sign up, get your event access wristband, pick up the race documents and ofc THE goodie bag!

breakfast and dinner

Our wonderful chef Kat and her helpers will prepare the food so that you can shred all day long! Remember to bring your own plate, cutlery and cup! All food served will be vegan. If you have allergies make sure to fill it in when registering and we will count it in.

TOURIST RIDE

This is an easy paced sightseeing ride to show you some of Gothenburg’s nicest views and locations. Our tour guide will lead you through the city with plenty of time to stop and take it all in. So buckle off and enter chill mode – what a better way to start the NCMC2026!

wTNB+ ALLEYCAT

A queer alleycat bicycle ride on Hisingen where fun beats competition and quirkiness beats strength. 6  checkpoints that will take you on a Journey through Nordic mythology. Take your good vibes with you. Bring yourself, your bike, and if you fancy, your glamour.

Lock dueling

It's like pistol dueling but with locks! No, we don’t throw locks at each other. Bring your best lock, bike and nerves of steel! We compete in heats and the person locking their bike fastest will be rewarded with the golden kryptonite lock!!! Well not really, but kinda…

TRACKLOCAT ALLEYCAT

NCMC2026 Tracklocat, a race that combines the challenge of navigating Gothenburg but also some trails. Make sure to hone your map reading skills, bring a map holder and a pen and see who’s the fastest both on and off the trail! The alleycat is possible to participate with any bike, so everyone can join! But a bike that can handle some terrain will be useful for some checkpoints.

CRIT RACE

The track is about 600 meters long and is quite rough but basically just asphalt. 30 laps.
Along the pier there is a long straight stretch where you can build up a lot of speed, so be prepared for the end. Gear ratio is of course personal but around 50x15. The track is marked in yellow. Obstacles, holes and tricky bumps are marked in red.

BIKE GAMES

The classic of all times – track stand, foot down and skids (maybe even more?!). Is there a funnier way to do the “SPD tip over” or destroy your rear tire? Or both!? Simultaneously!!?? We doubt it.

MAIN RACE

Indeed its the main race. A real life simulation of a work shift as a bicycle messenger (no AI). Pickup - dropoff - pickup - pickup - dropoff - pickup… for three hours. The one who has the brain, the legs and the grit will be celebrated as the Nordic Champion 2026!

GROUP PHOTO

After some days of fun times its time to immortalise yourself with your old and new friends in a group photo! This picture might embed itself in the history books and we want you all to be a part of it! ACAB – All Cyclists Are Beautiful!!!

OPEN FORUM

This is an open-for-all meeting where you can raise topics you want to discuss, make announcements, ask questions or express yourself – just to mention a few examples. Also we will vote for the host city of NCMC2027! So this is the time to stand up if your city is planning to candidate!

party!

We have a great party location reserved only for us! There will be beer and more! An evening dedicated to messlove – CHISTOLE!

Gold sprint

The old-timey classic of messenger events. This far you have cycled three days outside so before it gets too repetitive lets do something totally different and cycle indoors! We compete in heats of two people on stationary track bikes connected to a roller which measures the revolutions of the rear wheel and therefore the “distance” traveled. The one who sprints the “distance” fastest goes further to the next heat and we continue until we have a winner. Sign up at the party. Two categories – Open and WTNB. (WikiMess: The name Gold Sprint originates from Zurich, Switzerland where the beer brand “Goldsprint” was the sponsor of the first unofficial roller race event. People later started to use that name for the event and it is still widely used term for this competition)

CARGO RACE

The final race of the NCMC weekend is the Cargo Bike Race. Together with our friends at @plingtransport we’ve recreated the glamorous life of a cargo bike courier in Göteborg. You’ll be hauling boxes, food, and whatever random object dispatch decides is absolutely urgent. The course gives you plenty of route choices, but your cargo might have other plans. Think you’ve got the fastest line? Try it with a mystery load.

LOOSEY-GOOSEY-HANGOUT

Unfortunately the fun won't last forever so its time to wrap up the weekend. Let's eat what is left of the food while waiting for your train, bus, tram, boat, bike ride, horse’n’carriage, pedalo, teleport (what?) and take time to say goodbyes to your beloved friends!
